At The Scene
At the scene you may be asked questions. There is an important public safety interest in determining whether there are other suspects, victims, weapons, and/or threats that need to be immediately addressed in the wake of the incident. Because of this very legitimate interest, it should be expected that the involved officer(s) provide timely information that would resolve those pressing concerns and potentially reassure an apprehensive neighborhood or community that there is no ongoing safety threat to others.
